Customizing the '56 T-Bird

At Roseville Rod and Custom, we are making impressive progress on the re-design and building of Erin Myer's 1956 Thunderbird. Here's an overview of the work our talented team has been diligently performing these past weeks.

We’ve started wiring the T-Bird and are in the final stages of plumbing, which includes finishing the brake lines, hydraulic lines to the clutch, and the cooling system. Our craftsmen are building the expansion tank and running the coolant lines to the final radiator mounting.

The air intake system is being patterned in cardboard prior to its construction in aluminum.

Subtle modifications are being made to the tail light assembly and mounting, with a 3-D printed design of the lens shown in the photo. Once we've reviewed several designs, the final tail light and backup light lenses will be manufactured.

The new big 3-D printer at York Speed Shop is now operational, and James York is currently modeling new headlight bezels for the Thunderbird. The photo (right) showcases one of his crafted headlight rings, where he maintained the original shape but shortened and rounded it for a refined look.

This exemplifies the types of custom alterations we make on our builds here at Roseville Rod and Custom. We will go through several design options for many of the small parts to ensure they seamlessly integrate into the overall design concept.

At Roseville Rod and Custom, we value excellence in craftsmanship and strive for perfection in every detail.

Stay tuned for more updates on this Tbird!
